ABOUT

Higinbotham's Innkeepers

Mary Jo Higinbotham, an interior designer whose works have been published in national magazines and books, has completed the interior of the home and is now pursuing her lifelong interest in cooking and high fashion food preparation and presentation.

One of the oldest homes in New Oxford, and winner of the 2009 Historic Gettysburg-Historical Preservation Award, the 1823 Federal Style building remains largely unchanged from it’s original form.

Built by banker, John N. Hersh, the beautiful Federal Style home, with over 12 foot ceilings, magnificent windows, working fireplaces and state certified kitchen is yours to enjoy for that special getaway.

Visited Higinbotham's Tea Room today with my young daughter and 3 other family members and we had a lovely time.  The house is beautiful and everyone working there was so kind and accommodating.  The tea and food was all delicious and service was not rushed at all - give yourself a few hours to enjoy this delightful tea experience!
